Hu-Friedy Cleaning Monitors are used for monitoring the efficiency of the cleaning process in washer-disinfectors and ultrasonic cleaners.
The system consists of equipment specific monitor strips and a reusable holder.
The monitor strips contain a test soil that mimics the presence of blood and tissue that may be found on an instrument after use.
Full removal the test soil from the strip indicates an effective cleaning process.
The test/strip holder keeps the cleaning monitor in place in order to provide an accurate result.
In the case of the washer-disinfector monitor, it mimics a hinged instrument and measures the water impingement and removal of soil.
Acts as a hinged instrument measuring impingement in washer disinfectors.
How it works:
- Insert single use Cleaning Monitor strip into the holder.
- Place holder with strip face up in equipment:
1. For ULTRASONIC CLEANERS: on top of instruments fully covered in solution.2. For WASHER-DISINFECTORS: in a basket on a shelf of the washer.
- Run cleaning cycle.
- Review results of Cleaning Monitor to determine if adjustments to process are needed.
