• Chemical Indicators:
  • Class 4 multi-variable steam indicator with dual placement for both internal and external verification.
  • Ink validated to respond to all three parameters - time, temperature and steam.
  • Indicator ink complies with ISO 11140-1:2005 standard for Class 4 steam indicators.
  • Turns from pink to dark brown/black upon exposure to steam sterilant at 2 minutes and a minimum of 250 degrees F (121 degrees C).
  • Indicators also respond to chemical vapor (pink to light brown) and ethylene oxide gas (green to brown).

• Use Precautions:
  • ProView plus sterilization pouches are designed for single use only. Load sterilizer according to manufacturer's instructions. Arrange pouches on edge, paper to plastic. Do not overload the chamber.
  • Allow pouch and contents to dry prior to unloading and handling. This product is not recommended for use in dry heat or hydrogen peroxide sterilant processes.
  • According to AAMI ST79 guidelines, clinicians packaging instrument cassettes within self seal pouches may wish to utilize separate internal indicator strips inside the cassette to verify penetration of steam sterilant into the additional mass of instrument cassettes.
  • Certol products ProChek® S and ProChek® ID strips meet this recommendation.
• Hazardous Waste Information: Independent lab testing verifies that ProView plus pouch inks are not considered hazardous waste and may be disposed of in regular trash.
  • Testing conducted according to EPA procedure 40 CRF 261.24 using the TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure, EPA pub. SW-846). Technical Reference available upon request.
